As a computer technology user (student), you will want to learn many computer skills, so you can both accomplish what you need to in school and then, continue to grow as a lifelong learner. Always, remember "knowledge is power", so begin empowering (strengthening your knowledge) each and every day. 

Be the conductor of your own computer learning, so you may resource the information you need [research on the web], crediting [giving credit to] both the website and author. You may then use your resources to gain information and knowledge for whatever assignments or projects you are currently working on.

The program applications you will learn to utilize are word processing, spreadsheets,  and databases, which you will be able to communicate with your classmates via presentation skills (Power Point/PC and Keynote/Mac). But, that will be ONLY  the beginning of your journey as a computer conductor. You will continue to learn and grow always!
