MLA 8 Citation & NoodleTools

What is Citation?
When conducting research, it is important to record the resources (books, websites, images, etc.) that were used to give credit to the person(s) responsible for creating those resources and avoid plagiarism This process is called citation, and there are very specific rules in which this should be done. HMS uses Modern Language Association (MLA) format (version 8) to cite sources and format our research papers.  Check out the link to OWL at the bottom of this page for details on how citation and formatting is accomplished.

All HMS students have a NoodleTools account that is used to create citations.  NoodleTools simplifies citation by presenting the student with a fill-in-the blank form for each resource to be cited.  To access NoodleTools, click on the "waffle" from gmail or Drive, and scroll down to the NoodleTools logo.
